Information on discrimination based on disability or impairment in accessible formats

Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission eUpdate
Your right to a fair go! Factsheet on discrimination if you have a disability or impairment

Information about discrimination based on disability or impairment is available in a variety of formats for people with disabilities or impairments.

The Commission is also developing this factsheet in an Easy English format. Easy English means the information is written in an ‘easy to read' way, using photos and illustrations to highlight key points. It is used by those who have cognitive impairments or intellectual disabilities as well as those who speak English as a second language and non-English users. We will let you know as soon as the Easy English version becomes available!

This factsheet is the latest addition to the Commission's suite of information materials in accessible formats, which include a general discrimination factsheet.

Also available in accessible formats is our "Your right to rights" brochure which explains the Human Rights Charter.

The accessible formats range is part of the Commission's commitment to ensuring all Victorians are informed of their rights.

It is the Commission's priority to ensure Victorians understand their human rights as well as the responsibilities of public bodies.

To order a free copy of the "Your right to a fair go - discrimination based on disability/impairment" factsheet or other resources in any of the accessible formats, call the Commission on (03) 92817122 or email education@veohrc.vic.gov.au
