Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's Disease publication
People with Down syndrome have three chromosomes 21, making it more likely they will develop Alzheimer's disease and that it will have an early onset.
The publication has been produced with Australian government funding by Alzheimer's Australia, the Down Syndrome Australia Network and the Centre for Developmental Disability Health (Victoria), Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease will be launched at the first of a series of lectures by Diana Kerr.
Ms Kerr is a prominent expert in the field of dementia and learning disabilities and a Fellow at the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships at the University of Edinburgh.
