Autism Resources
There is a great new online resource on the Raising Children Network specifically devoted to children with autism - http://raisingchildren.net.au/children_with_autism/children_with_autism_landing.html
Especially - http://raisingchildren.net.au/articles/aspergers_disorder_signs_and_symptoms.html/context/916
You will also find plenty of resources at www.autismvictoria.org.au and that will give you links to other credible sites within Australia and internationally. You can also send specific questions to office@autismvictoria.org.au if you have a specific question about educational resources within Victoria and they will be able to direct you to the appropriate person and resources, if they can't answer your questions. Or you can telephone them at 1300 308 699 or 9885 0533.
There is also the Australian Autism Handbook - The Essential Resource Guide for Autism Spectrum Disorder published May 2008, by Jane Curry Publishing - www.autismhandbook.com.au or email autismhandbook@mac.com
Another website I think is good is http://www.autismtraining.com.au/sections/parentsCarers/index.cfm - at this site parents and professionals can undergo online training. You need to register but that is free.
And of course we have the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre website - www.latrobe.edu.au/otarc
You can subscribe to our quarterly newsletter about our research activities by e-mailing l.wilks@latrobe.edu.au
