Statement of Principles for Children and Young People with a disability and their families
I m writing to advise you about the release of the Statement of principles for children and young people with a disability and their families, which was launched on 13 November 2009. Click here to obtain a copy
The Department of Human Services (DHS) have developed these principals to:
- Raise the profile of children and young people with a disability and their families;
- Inform program development and practice for working with children and young people with a disability and their families, and to
- Provide the basis for collaboration across programs to make sure that support for children and families is coordinated, timely and effective.
The Statement of principles for children and young people with a disability and their families is a useful document which will guide the way in which we work together with this group of young people in the future.
