Unit Prices for Disability Services Activities 2010-11
The Victorian Government approved a 3.14 per cent price index each year for the three year service agreement period (1 July 2009 to 30 June 2012). Unit prices for Department of Human Services Disability Services have subsequently increased effective 1st July 2010.

New Statewide Aids and Equipment Provider
News Update 25 August 2010 Ballarat Health Services (BHS) has been appointed as the new statewide provider for the Aids and Equipment, Domiciliary Oxygen, and Continence Aids Programs. BHS is already the existing service provider for the Vehicle Modification Subsidy Scheme which will be integrated into the new service.

Meeting the needs of ageing CALD clients
Victoria's post-war migration population is ageing, and aged care services can expect a growing number of clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Clients will vary in their family structures, cultural preferences and expectations of aged care. As they get older, many will prefer to communicate in their first language.

Changes to CMAG Once off Urgent Fund
Following discussions between the Case Management Action Group (CMAG) and the Department of Human Services (DHS), North and West Metropolitan Region (NWMR), it has been agreed that as of 1 July 2010 funding previously managed by CMAG for One Off Urgent Funding applications will be managed by NWMR.
