Comments Sought on Implementing the National Carer Strategy
Draft documents to support the implementation of the National Carer Strategy have been released for comment. The Federal Government has launched a national carer awareness initiative. Care Aware aims to recognise people who provide unpaid personal care or support to people of all ages with disability, medical conditions, mental illness or drug and alcohol problems.

NDIS - This month (July 2012) will see the most important meeting between our leaders yet.
Come July 25, the Prime Minister as well as Premiers and Chief Ministers will meet in Canberra for the next COAG meeting. This is where funding for the NDIS, and possible launch sites due to kick off in July next year, will be discussed. This meeting is critical in securing the future of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
