Victorian Disability Sector Awards - Nominations Now Open
These Awards bring together the National Disability Services (Victoria) Distinguished Service Awards, Disability Professionals Victoria Awards for Excellence and the Victorian Disability Support Worker Awards.
The Victorian Disability Sector Awards (VDSA) provide the opportunity to recognise and honour the achievements and valued role of people providing support, leadership, service practice, services and education of the highest standards leading to improving the life of a person with a disability in Victoria. The VDSA celebrate and acknowledge people and organisations that demonstrate excellence, passion, vision and commitment to working with people with a disability and the community in a way that promotes inclusion.
All Australian citizens providing support in the state of Victoria to people with a disability, as defined in the Disability Act 2006 are eligible for nomination. They may be individuals, teams, organisations or businesses.
There are eight award categories:
- Support Worker Award (Individual)
- Support Worker Award (Team)
- Client Services Worker Award
- Volunteer Award
- Leadership Award
- Emerging Leader Award
- Business Supporting Disability Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
Nominations close Thursday 3 March 2011.
