Public Consultation on the Visitable and Adaptable Features in Housing Regulatory Impact Statement

The Victorian Government is looking at making housing disability accessible by including this in the building regulations. The Government wants evidence that the extra costs of building a new house, or renovating an existing house, are outweighed by the benefits. Have your say...

A Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) has been prepared to examine approaches to increase the supply of accessible housing in Victoria.

Submissions are now being sought on the content of the RIS which proposes a Victorian variation to the Building Code of Australia.
