Free Saturday Travel for Disability Support Pensioners & Carer Payment Recipients under 60
In a recent announcement by The Minister for Public Transport that from 1 January 2011, Victorian Seniors and Disability Support Pensioners and Carer Payment Recipients under 60 (DSP/CAR) will be entitled to free travel in two consecutive zones on Saturdays as well as Sundays .
All Disability Support Pensioners and Carer Payment Recipients who have registered for a Sunday Pass will receive their free registered
concession myki in the post. The mail out will begin at the end of September, we are sending out more than 400,000 cards so it will take us about 10 weeks to complete.
The concession mykis will enable Disability Support Pensioners and Carer Payment Recipients under 60 and Victorian Seniors to access their free travel in two consecutive zones on Sundays straight away, and onSaturdays from 1 January 2011.
