Are you a Direct Support Worker (DSW) interested in participating in a networking group?
Disability Professionals Victoria is forming such a group for its members called DSW Special Interest Group.
This Special Interest Group (SIG) will provide you with networking and learning opportunities, and support those who work in direct support in the disability sector. Maybe there are other things you think DPV can offer - we would like to hear your thoughts about what YOU want.
Come along to the first meeting on Wednesday the 8th of September 2010 at Yooralla, Box Hill where we will seek YOUR ideas about how this group can support YOU in useful ways. We will hold two sessions to cater to everyone’s schedules: from 10am-12pm, and 4pm-6pm. Non-members are welcome to this first meeting, come and get to know us and see what DPV membership can do for you for as little as $32.00 per year.
Sam Murray (CRU Team Leader, President - ASSID Victorian Branch) will also share some of his experiences from travelling overseas and investigating disability support work in England and USA. Light refreshments will be provided so let us know if you are interested.
