About the program

The Case Management Action Group (CMAG) is a collective network of primarily disability case management and planning organisations throughout the North and West Metropolitan Region (NWMR) of Melbourne and is auspice by Melbourne Citymission.  The group provides support, training, information and a forum for planning and strategic coordination of case management and planning services.   

CMAG engages collectively in systemic advocacy to promote that people with a disability in receipt of case management and planning services have their needs adequately represented and understood, in association with existing advocacy agencies.  CMAG disseminates information to disability case managers, planners and the membership that is relevant to the needs of service users.  CMAG offers training for disability case managers and planners, seeking to enhance the quality of the service provision within the sector by the acknowledgement, development and promotion of best practice approaches.  CMAG seeks to enhance the performance of the service system by promoting a collaborative approach towards skills acquisition and training that utilises expertise and complements the diversity of the service sector.

 

The purpose of the role

This position will provide support to the membership of CMAG and actively promote the activities of CMAG to the broader health, community and disability service sectors.

It will also involve managing a small project (2 days per week) involving the development and implementation of Communities of Practice - SDA
